This ultra sturdy veteran's memorial bench makes a perfect accent piece for your memorial site, park, or any outdoor setting. The timbers used are thick full 4 x 4 timbers and supported by solid steel frames. This is a commercial grade heavy duty bench built to last in any environment. Beautifully handcrafted from sustainable harvested California Redwood trees ranging from 50 years (“Young Growth”) to more than 200 years ( “Old Growth”) in age. In general, grain density and color differ with age and the older the tree the longer the manufacturer’s warranty (however with simple maintenance, it’s all made to last a lifetime - even under commercial conditions). Regardless of age, all lumber is cut and milled Extra-Thick (up to 50% thicker than standard boards) so it looks, feels and is … extremely sturdy and durable. Assembly hardware is 100% stainless steel.

Each piece of our Redwood furniture was proudly created as part of a Restoration Forestry project, a sustainable practice by which annual tree growth significantly exceeds tree harvest. Extra-Long Legs Option (anchors in concrete 18" deep)
Bolt-Down Legs Option

The steel frames are powder-coated so they will never rust and they are fabricated from 1/4-inch thick steel. For the legs, you have two options. The Extra-Long legs option has 30" long legs beneath the benches so you can set them in concrete 18" deep. If you need to bolt down the legs, you can request the Bolt-Down legs option, which comes with a folded metal base so you can bolt the legs to an existing deck or concrete pad instead of having to bury the metal in concrete.

This bench has been designed and built by Veterans groups going back to World War I. Many of these benches are in parks all around the U.S. The Manufacturer donates a percentage of sales to the VFW Foundation.
